EXCIMER Coating
An excimer coating is hardened by excimer UV rays, which have a shorter wavelength than regular UV rays but with high energy. Furniture surfaces treated with an excimer coating stay resistant to scratches and contamination, while being soft, luxurious, silk-like to the touch. Choose an excimer-coated furniture surface finish as a practical solution to keep your furniture smudge-free and protected from food and other common sources of soiling.
Characteristics
Excimer UV radiation has traditionally been used for surface cleaning of displays and semiconductor wafers through oxidization-removal of contaminants. Unlike regular UV radiation treatment, excimer UV radiation treatment only hardens the surface, rather than the entire treated coating.
